Basic Course - 2 days

Participants attending this course will learn how to use FirstRate5 software and how to apply it to a range of projects including -

• Data Entry
• Modelling single and two storey houses
• Modelling complex features of houses including skylights, raked ceilings and clerestory windows

This course is ideal for new entrants to the profession or users who just wish to learn how to use the software.

Upon successful completion of the Basic course and the Intermediate course, participants will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment for 2 Units of Competency from the Certificate IV in NatHERS Assessment (CPP41212):

• CPPHSA4020A - Operate computer systems to support NatHERS assessment
• CPPHSA4012A - Conduct NatHERS assessment of planned residential buildings

Course assessment includes classroom based activities and assignment work.

The laptop for the course must run on a Windows operating system with minimum 2 Gb RAM installed and full administrator privileges. .

The software does not work on an Apple Mac.
